The architecture of Mountain View Villa Luxury Lodge is designed in such as way that it maximizes its location. True to its proposition of “vacationing at its peak,” every part of the villa offers incredible sights. Glass doors and floor-to-ceiling windows provide visual access to Marlborough’s exquisite attractions such as Wairau Valley, Cook Straits, Cloudy Bay Vineyard, Wither Hills Farm, Mountain Bike Park, Mount Richmond, and more.
The best vantage points, hands-down, are from any of the six elegant and spacious suites. Five of which—Mountain View, Marlborough, Cloudy Bay, Wither Hills and Ocean View—are named after the respective views that they offer, while the sixth, the Chagall Suite is named after the Russian-French artist whose artworks adorn the room.
The landscapes are just as mesmerizing. The villa’s lawn is home to several pocket gardens. Soon, the property will be filled with more greenery, as the owners have begun planting trees and flowers.
Other visual treats: The fireplace in the living room that offers light and warmth on a cold winter day/night. The colorful daybed in the Great Room that is pure frolic on a summer day. And, on the walls, the pretty decorative art pieces that stir the imagination and invite conversation throughout the seasons.
